Traffic Safety Forum2007, the 10th International Exhibition for Traffic Control and Safety Facilities was held from October 25 through 28 at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The event was organized by Expocentre and the Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Traffic safety problem is getting more and more acute for Russia. To find a solution to it is of great importance for the national security of the country.

Traffic Safety Forum marked its 10th anniversary with good performance. Since 2005 the show has doubled its size and effectiveness figures. It has become an international event. The show demonstrated the latest developments and achievements of 129 exhibitors from Russia, Serbia and Japan. The innovative traffic management technologies and road safety equipment excited great interest among specialist.

The show floor of over 2 300 sq. m. (net) showcased products of such renowned companies as BMW Russland Trading, Mercedes-Benz, DaimlerChrysler Automobil Russia, Znak, Signal-P, Russian Association of Motor Insurers, 3M, the Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Signal-P, Byborg, Stroy Invest Proekt M Corporation, Simicon, Severstal, Tchaikovsky Textiles, Ve Ma Tech-Nord, Helvetica-T and many others. The total visitor attendance was 4 600.

The Forum incorporated the Russian Conference Traffic Safety in the Russian Federation featuring hot topics of traffic safety in Russia. The conference presented advanced traffic control technologies, technical diagnosis equipment, modern educational and testing technologies for driving schools; data systems; communication and navigation facilities.

The workshops held within the Forum covered promotion of legal awareness to traffic participants, driver training quality, first aid issues, engineering and planning activity and many other topics aroused great interest. The Forum events were attended by representatives of the government executive authorities, the heads of regional traffic safety departments, organizations of the road traffic industry and public utilities.

Traffic Safety Forum2007 provided an opportunity to exchange opinions and outline solutions to the most important traffic safety problems. The show became an effective means to promote traffic safety; its objective is to implement the Federal Target Programme Traffic Safety Enhanced in 2006-2012 and, ultimately, ensure comfort and safety to every traffic participant.
